Art Sparks on the Green

See you at the next Art Sparks at Smythesdale’s Historic Precinct – opposite the Courthouse Hotel – on Saturday 24 Nov, 2 – 6pm.

Free, fun arts activities for all ages, including live music by Salty Dog, Haddon Concert Band, Anthony Hurry, Jamee Ellis, Measure4Measure.
Also readings by writer/publisher Clarissa Stein and playwrite Leonie Hurry, and singing, guitar & dance groups of Woady Yaloak Primary School. Displays and demos by local artists such as Anne Langdon, Barry Wemyss, Vida Pearson, Michel Morisett, Jarrod Foote and workshops for children.

The Woady Yaloak Historical Society members will take tours of the Courthouse, Lock Up and Stables and the restored gallows, and display the 1860s dresses costumes of Pauline Riches and other historical items. The Society will also show David Brown’s film “On the Map On the Trail” featuring stories from the area’s past and provide refreshments.
