Online content creation is all about creative and engaging storytelling, that when done well, can both inform and inspire.
BAA was instrumental in getting the Central Highlands Arts Atlas up and going and aside from all the useful features for artists to share their information, many of our talented members were commissioned to create stories for the website since its launch early in the year.
I have felt lucky to be one of these, doing interviews, news and reviews that share my passion for the local arts scene. I have written about the likes of festivals, site-specific work, and leadership, and followed the creative practice and activities of exciting artists, what an honour.

Aldona Kmiec has done a great series of features on local multicultural artists (for example photographer Sonia Macak) and Michelle Dunn has made a series of beautiful artist films, like this one about Linda Franklin.
Dawn Whitehand has provided some excellent reviews and a series of articles on local public art and Ailsa Brackly Du Bois has contributed some fabulous pieces on heritage and culture.
Rex Hardware has done a series of features on local musicians, often in unique spaces! (like the Craig’s Hotel Tower) and Erin McCuskey has given us some local flavour, collaborating with Tracy Bourne to produce a short film and also shared her invaluable tips for artists online.
Stories from Daylesford, Glenlyon, Kyneton and beyond also feature on the site and there are so many people I look forward to meeting- both the content makers and those whose fascinating stories are being captured and celebrated.
There is so much to explore, so take a wander through, enjoy, and don’t forget to SHARE!
