BAA is very excited to be able to support Bronwyn Blaiklock’s latest project ‘Pure Poetry’.
Bronwyn approached us for auspice support, and thankfully she agreed to be our first trial at being able to support artists in this way. We have been happy to provide members with support letters, networking, online profiles (ArtsAtlas) and other great opportunities. Now we are also happy to announce we can support your project via auspicing. Of course there are hoops, there are always hoops, however we strongly encourage all members to look at external funding for your project, there are many and varied sources so talk to us.
Pure Poetry is a celebration of the Australian voice in poetry and music, you can find more info on the website purepoetryproject.com.au
The project will culminate in a public performance of collaborative works by the poets and composers themselves, presented in partnership with the Art Gallery of Ballarat this November. The recital program will tip its hat to previous projects, incorporating poetic talent from the NSW Riverina and across regional Victoria. The program will feature premieres of three new collaborative works by key artists Terry Jaensch (poet, Castlemaine), Amadis Lacheta(composer, Metcalf), Scott Sanders (composer, Castlemaine), Bronwyn Blaiklock (poet,Ballarat) and special guest Ann Carr-Boyd (composer, Sydney).
