The Ballarat Arts Foundation in conjunction with the Slow Music Festival presents:
a Master Class in Improvisation.
The opportunity exists for 8 – 10 performing artists to partake in this exclusive class incorporating Visual and Performing Artists.
The Master Class will take place alongside “Do You See What I Hear?” an installation created by Carmen Chan, both a percussionist and visual artist, with discussion of conceptual and practical approaches to improvisation and music-making.
There will be 8-10 Symposium participants, forming t he performing ensemble. There would be the opportunity for 8 -10 Master Class attendees to observe preparations and join in during the workshop.
The Master Class would be 1.5 – 2 hours in duration, commencing at 1pm on Saturday August 30th. The attendees would be welcomed to attend the final performance at 5pm also. The workshop and performance will take place at the Ballarat Mechanics’ Institute.
The cost of this Master Class will be $50, BAF Alumni and Members – $40.
